Event Services Canada became a reality in October 1996 on paper anyhow. The three partners Gord Greenwood, Darcy Carmicheal, and Janis Thomson struggled for years watching a non-profit organization turn away clients because they could not be staffed by volunteers, or for political reasons. Tired and frustrated they agreed something had to be done. After months of planning the business was registered. But a new problem arose. One partner was injured in an automobile accident March 1997. The remaining partners agreed this adventure started with 3 it would remain 3 partners. They waited for the full recovery of the partner. Now it was Early 1998. Slowly generating interest from groups the unknown company set out to build a name, while not trying to compete or steal business from the group we still support. We try to cover the events that they deem uncoverable and seek clients that were never theirs. While we all have full time work else where for now, we have successfully covered all contracts to date. We are slowly finding the need to bring in additional staff for events. As well we are seeing repeat business.  We currently provide first aid coverage and some computer services.
